He definitely has a beard. I’m okay with this. 

ugh I know this is probably stating the obvious but I just love how… Aang this is. Something about his style is very deeply ingrained in this Airbending form. I don’t want to call it goofy but guys he starts it by balancing on his pointer finger. And even though it is a powerful — even aggressive — form, it still has a fun, lighthearted feel to it.

i am constantly really really really impressed by the quality of the fighting animation in avatar

and the general quality of avatar in general, but the fighting animation in specific is SUPERB. these guys really know what they’re doing, and despite being a show targeted primarily at children they don’t cut corners and just show something “vaguely martial arts-esque and sort of cool” to keep the kiddies entertained because they WANT TO MAKE A GOOD PIECE OF MEDIA.
