Today is shaping up to be a bad one.
Woke up with my throat hurting worse, was expecting to a get a book that came in TODAY at the library, but apparently now the library is closed for the holiday, so I have no book to read which is awful. I also should have gotten this package I ordered but the assholes didn’t want to drive up my road like they’re supposed to so I got a depot card...

I’m really impressed with how much I remember of Great Expectations, since I only read it once some five-ish years ago. Though A Tale of Two Cities which I also read around that time I remember almost nothing about.

halfstrippedtrees replied to your post: I woke up with a sore throat this morning….
Take care! PS, Of all little sicknesses, I hate sore throat the most.
Yes, me too. Extremely very not fun. Thanks, hopefully I’ll get better quickly. Think I may have a nice hot cup of tea a bit later :)
I woke up with a sore throat this morning. Actually I was starting to get it a couple of hours before I went to bed last night, which made falling asleep difficult. I’m really kind of proud of myself though because this is the first time I’ve been sick since before Summer. I never even got my customary “back to work” cold, which seeing as I work with small children I have...

My brother and I just played through the first five worlds of Super Mario Bros. Wii (the one Hank and Katherine are playing) in one sitting. I have 60ish lives and he has 50ish lives, and we have not used a single continue. I feel inordinately proud about this.

The reason I’ve read Anne of Green Gables/Anne of Avonlea/Anne of the Island so many times is because directly after watching it I always want to go off and read it right away. I’ve never actually read past Anne of Windy Poplars, or all the way through it in fact, though I’ve had a go at it a couple of times. It doesn’t really satisfy me with its profound lack of Green...

I’m watching the second half of Anne of Green Gables (the first I watched yesterday) and mending this broken heart The Book Thief has left me with. Intense feelings of love for all the characters and some Gilbert/Anne shipping is just what I need at the moment.
