I just attempted to empty out my scentsy to replace it with a new square and dripped melted wax all over the carpet. Ooooops. Maybe next time I’ll do it over something that isn’t the floor.

Well, I’m alive. And my doctor was really nice (still he wasn’t THE Doctor, and I have to confess I was a little disappointed). I got two tubes of blood drawn, and it was much less terrifying than I thought it would be, and I knew that was how I’d feel. I wasn’t even really sick to my stomach.

Oh my God, they buried Nikki and Paulo alive. They buried them alive. And they were conscious for the whole thing, I can’t imagine how completely filled with terror they must have been. And then to suffocate under feet of sand. I will have bad dreams tonight.

I’m feeling all around pretty crummy today. I caught another flu right after I got over the last one. Thankfully this one hasn’t been accompanied by an unbearable sore throat. So I lounged on the couch all day (miracle of miracles, everyone was out!) and watched Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea. Every time I watch them I fall more in love with Gilbert.

I got distracted downloading books for myself on my mom’s kindle. So far: The Idiot Middlemarch War and Peace Les Miserables The Wind in the Willows Which I think is quite enough to be starting with.

I have the bad habit of stopping watching something when I find out my favourite character is going to die. Like Ianto in Torchwood. I still haven’t finished Children of the Earth. And the 2nd gen Skins. I was not going to let myself cry over another Fred, so I quit halfway through.

I was at work today sorting out colouring pictures and I’d left my computer open on the counter behind me. My desktop background is still the album art for Kiss Each Other Clean and one of the kids came up and was absolutely amazed by it, to the extent that she went brought five more kids over to show them. All I can say is kid has good taste.
